Tweetian is a practical Twitter client and a good alternative to the official Twitter app for Blackberry, with some nice features for tweeting, reading others' tweets, and discovering new people to follow.
Available for the BlackBerry 10, Tweetian keeps you in touch with features like translation, the ability to search for tweets from nearby users, and the chance to share tweets.
The basics, and then some
Tweetian has everything you need to make full use of Twitter. It includes the usual features such as timeline, mentions, direct messages, your profile information, search, etc.
Additionally, it distances itself from the competition with features like the ability to translate tweets in other languages. And while the translations aren't perfect, they're close enough to grasp the meaning of the original tweet. Another interesting feature is that Tweetian displays tweets of nearby users.
You can also share a comment using BlackBerry Messenger, email or Facebook.
User-friendly
Tweetian has a streamlined and well-designed user interface and, combined with some nice features, it makes for an amazing user experience.
Once logged in to your Twitter account, with just a few swipes you'll find everything you need or want to see.
Similar yet different
When you first open Tweetian, you'll think you're using the official Twitter client since it looks very similar, especially the icons and the blue color of the interface.
It makes sense: since it has similar features, Tweetian uses a design similar to the official client to facilitate the exchange between clients and help users see all features at a glance.
Tweetian, however, goes a step further, adding useful features such as the translation function for tweets.
A serious alternative
If you're not a fan of the official Twitter client for BlackBerry, Tweetian is a great alternative. It's a very comprehensive Twitter client, and although it doesn't includes some advanced features such as scheduling of tweets and support for multiple accounts, it includes all the essentials plus some interesting extras.
